Wow, it has been so long since I last updated my blog, I have a lot of things to write too, but this if for the upcoming challenge of FFT.
Me and friends of mine are setting ourselves a very difficult task for charity, this task is going to put our speed of gaming to the test. Our challenge is to play and complete Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX in 4 days, this includes the nights as we will not goto sleep at the same time, we will change over and keep the blog etc active while doing this challenge.
The challenge will be aired through a live feed via webcam, this will be embedded into the blog to allow viewing from here. We will also keep it updated as we progress.
In the challenge, we may go and set ourselves more Final Fantasy games to complete such as Final Fantasy V and VI. Hopefully this project will be a huge success!
Now about the charity, all money is going to goto Cancer Research, as my Mom was diagnosed with it twice (surviving both), the second time she was pregnant with me, so I am very grateful to be here and obviously my Mom too and I would like research to go into this to prevent people losing loved ones to Cancer.
The guys doing this challenge:
Tezuka a.k.a Terence Beckett, me (Tezuka will be the main man for Final Fantasy VIII)
Friends:
Sonny Kingscott - This is the person who thought up of the awesome idea, obviously from the Zelda things too. :p (Sonny will be the main person leading the game in Final Fantasy VII)
Dominic Tulloch - Silent but deadly friend, he will be our “master” for Final Fantasy IX (This is mainly because he has played it more then the rest of us and he just rules at Final Fantasy more than us)
Jack Cartwright - I don’t know much about him personally, Sonny invited him, as he would be updating the blog.(He will be updating the blog, but he may not be here all the time.)
Just a thought, any ideas what other Final Fantasy we can play? Shadowdude wants to do only VII, VIII and IX, but what others do you think we can do in this limit.
UPDATE (19/2/08): Me and the other guys are thinking of doing a whole Tales of Symphonia run, but it is not confirmed yet, as it would be difficult to set a time limit for completing a game like ToS. FFT will still be taking place Easter but yet again, no EXACT day has been set.
UPDATE 2 (19/2/08): The live feed will be going through justin.tv and we will take full advantage of the chat window that will come with the feed. More updates soon.
UPDATE 3 (23/3/08): The dates have now been changed to Tuesday 25th March 1:00PM (GMT) to Saturday 29th March. Tezuka apologizes for not being able to make it on the original date.
