A New Category?

I was wondering that, because VX is coming out, maybe a new category for it could be made? Or does XP cover it too or is there already a category for it?

I have looked into VX and it looks like XP but with a few tweaks for newcomers to the series and nicer RTP graphics.

I would think XP and VX could be in the same catergory.

EDIT: As in post VX resources and stuff in the same place, since it uses Ruby script as well.

But the charactersets for VX are different than the XP ones. It would be an annoyance to have everyone insert [XP] or [VX] in their resource titles. And who knows if the tilesets are different, too. Different XP and VX resource categories could be a good thing.

Besides, Chipsets are (apparently) 2003's size, but i have also heard they can vary sizes.

A new category would be dumb. Do you currently see the old one labeled xp? No and XP and 2k3 are doing fine so far sharing it.

It would not be dumb to have people tell us what version they are using, they should already be doing so.

And yeah, all RPG Makers have been sharing the same category for years here. If we were to divide them up any more it would actually just make things way more complicated and the forum index incredibly long.

If the use of tags [VX] are well spread and well-used , then not making a VX Board isn't a problem.
