No matter what options I alter, the game refuses to let my hero use skills. They appear in the skill menu, but I can't use them in battle.

What's the deal?

I have encountered this problem too. Try making the exact same skill but in a different uh... ID or whatever you should call it.

Liak if it was "0001: Rub" try switching it to "0002: Rub"

Well have you tried putting the animation as the users animation?
That's what I did and it worked.

Wow, how descriptive. You tell us nothing about what you changed, what isn't default, and whatnot.

Someone move this to the script requests, I don't see how this could be a event issue.

Perhaps more importantly, WHAT RPG MAKER IS THIS FOR!?

While I will admit that I probably should have specified the maker, skills are fairly similar throughout all three RPG Makers.

Furthermore, it's neither an event or script problem. That was foolish. It's titled, very clearly, "Skill Problems". Skills are handled through the database menu.

I don't know what bug crawled up your ass, but you're being a real prick to me lately.

Also: I already thanked you in chat, but thanks again Skanker. :D

Arrow, if you're not a scripter, don't make any fucking assumptions about RPG Maker XP. A poorly made battle system could easily have a bug with skill commands.

Oh please Arrow, I'm a prick to everyone, doesn't everyone know that?

Seriously, if everyone thinks I'm being more mean to Arrow than all of you, I'll be much more mean to you guys :)
