[Writing] eulogy

Just as a note: This poem was written in Nagasaki, after I had visited the Nagasaki A-bomb Museum and Peace Park. Some of the ideas, however, were reactions to the Virginia Tech massacre, and also the play "The Diary of Anne Frank", which I am involved in. Normally I hate poetry, but this issue is very close to me, and I hope that it will make an impact to those who read it.

of another
they dont realize
the flowers in flanders
dyed red by the blood of soldiers
the mushroom cloud
was made of human lives
crusades
inquisition
conquistadors
witch trials
armenian genocide

God didnt do it

people did
people like the victims
they dont realize
they say that a single death is a tragedy but a million deaths is a statistic
thats a lie
they are all gone
they can never come back
ever
