Just a rough outline of the character template for a screen of equipped items for a game I'm doing.

Sophist

J/K, it's PREFECT.
[fright]you awoke in a burning paperhouse
from the infinite fields of dreamless sleep

Finished version, and to all you spriters, LOOK AT MY ANTI ALIASING AND WEEP!

Arrow

The face seems a bit strange when you consider the way the rest of the body looks, as well as the kneecaps and abs. Probably just the way they are defined, though the seem to be somewhat dislocated/disproportionate. The head should scoot over a bit to the left, and the neck should reach behind the face on the right side. Arms seem a bit noodley.

Outside of that good job. ;8

And good job on the anti-alias, I use that trick too for Battle Network style mugshitz. :D

GilgameshRO

I look at your crotch buldge and weep

No, you are wrong, it is perfectly anatomical in every way.

Okey dokey smokey.

Lord Dante

Not really. In terms of proportion, yes, but Arrow was correct about the head needing to be moved.

You don't dither?

You're a moron, you obviously don't know what pillow shading even is.  Also, thanks for reminding me, I guess I will get to the dithering now.

Don't forget to do selective outlining too.

Oh, ok.

Mind defining it for me then? It'd be nice to add to my bank of knowledge so i dont make an ass out of myself all the time.

Link here.
There's a good tutorial there for those who doesn't know the basic principal of Pixel Art.

Selective outlining?  I probably know what you mean, but call it something else.   Care to clarify?

It's using a coluour similar to your whole color scheme, besides black.
For example a yellow smiley uses an orange outline.

Details in the tut on my previous post.
It basically covers up all I've known about Pixel Art.

I've done that, its not a black outline.
