I have made this work a few times but results are very inconistent.  By changing the ini file, and a file in the registry.  nothing seems to work all the time though.  Anyone else run off of a flash drive?  I want the program to run directly from the flash drive.  i don't think this would be a problem but the flash shows up as removable device, and rpgmaker doesn't list these in there folder.  They have to be typed manually.

Oops sorry.  My main problem is, when I DO get it to finally open my project, none of the tilesets are there.  I can see my events that I've placed, but none of the map graphics.. Everything is black.  Any help would be appreciated.

This means RPG Maker can't find the RTP. Re-import it into your game and it should solve itself, if not then you will have to tinker around with the 'Tileset' tab found in the database.

nothing in the tileset thing helped me, I just copied the RTP folder contents to my project folder, although it removed my custom stuff from the tilesets, it worked.  I hope it's pretty much a permanent fix, so that now when I edit tilesets, they'll replace the ones in my custom folder and save permanently..

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
