Nudity

Not so much a personal PROBLEM, so much as a personal...thing. I put it here because I didn't want the topic spammed, and I wanted a serious discussion. It kinda seemed the appropriate place for this kind of a topic. (Don't worry, I'm not gonna post pics, heh.)

This topic is for discussing all of the ways that nudity is totally awesome. Even an ugly guy like me can appreciate being naked! Being without your clothing puts us in a special, unique state of mind, I think. I vastly enjoy it, as it's very relaxing, and clears my head.

Your thoughts on nudity? On a personal scale, perhaps even publically? (Whether you are actually involved or not)

<3 being naked when possible; guess what I do when I'm out in the country :rolleyes: I don't mind nudity, but having a city filled with nude people would still be odd. Doesn't mean I am against it ~

Oh yeah, it'd totally be weird to you and I. We've been raised in clothing, and so has everyone else around us. It'd be a completely alien experience to us. It's like taking a gerbil raised in a cage and throwing it out into the woods.

But I enjoy been nude as water pours down on my skin...so soft it feels...<shrugs>

     Yes, that is also a problem. Again, however, this is because it is not commonplace. Seeing people naked when you've usually seen them as only clothed makes you feel like you're seeing something you shouldn't. People have also linked nudity to sex in a way that one instantaneously equals the other. If you look at a place like...I think Sweden...may have been Switzerland...nudity is an every day thing. Public baths? Co-ed nudity. No one thinks anything of it. Changing rooms at the beach (or lakeside, if you wanna go into semantics) are co-ed also. You just walk in, regardless of who's in there, change, walk out. Bathrooms are gender separated, yes, but that's because people are made differently, blah blah. You understand my point. Its because we've been ashamed of our bodies for so long that we think so poorly of sharing them now.

Not only our physical self, but also our insecurities. Many people have little quirks they do with clothes, like hands in pockets or tugging on sleeves. Once clothes are removed from the picture, they have no coping mechanisms to hide behind. I personally think a naked female is the most beautiful thing (in some cases), not only on a sexual level, but on a aesthetic level as well.

I couldnt do anything without jeans.  I need pockets, or else my hands would have no idea what to do.  I would have to be nude and take up smoking.

New point: I think that, if we were all nude from birth, people's hygiene would improve considerably, and people would become far less judgmental.

Care to elaborate? I agree with Arrow, without clothes hygiene could improve but that's up to the person, clothes can be real rags unless you care about them amirite.

my room hates me its cold when im nude and hot when im not this is so fustrating . being nude is great though wearing only underwear also works.

how about sleeping. sleeping nude is meant to make better sleep as theres no clothing restricting you etc.
