[RESOLVED] I Need Help With Boss Fight [RMXP]

Okay here is what I am trying to do...my main guy falls in a well, he then takes something out of a treasure chest in this well. What I want to happen is as soon as I grab the treasure I want a boss to appear inside the well as he walks up to me and then he says something then we fight. How would I do this? Thanks You ahead of time and feel free to ask questions if I don't make much sense!

Er.

After you open the chest:

Empty Event where the boss spawns
Move the Event
--Change Graphic
--MOVE COMMNANDS TO PLAYER
Move Player
--Face Boss
Message "Boss Says Stuff"
Enemy Encounter Boss

ha ha it worked and now I understand how that works and thanks a lot you have been really helpful.......I tried using a conditional branch combined with your example and it worked!

If you couldn't tell I am new here and I have had the program for a little less than 24 hours since I posted so I am a real Newb, plus I am not a programmer whatsoever but either way I was asking for help not a rude remark. So thank you falcon for the post. I should have reported back saying I used a conditional branch to figure it out as I wanted something more complex so I guess Black Shadow you are correct it is a bit obvious and just because your right doesn't mean u should be an ass to the newbs Mr. Level 34

It wasn't meant to be rude, but I found this function pretty easy when I started to use the program 2½ years ago. $:-\$

Its cool I realize you weren't being rude, you didn't need to apologize I was kidding. Your Right though it was pretty simple to figure it out without someones help. Once you read up on stuff it becomes common sense. I didn't know this program existed almost 3 days ago so I went online got a genuine copy and in the past 48 I have been learning stuff for this game. I have learned to do a lot so I can only imagine how much you know after 2½ years. How many games have you made?

I have done some projects in the past. Im good at mapping, but eventing and scripting isn't my greatest ability, even if I had made one script before.

Yeah I am a graphic artist so mapping is extremely easy......I know how you feel I cannot even start a script lol.
