She's going to look like this in the next demo. I will ifx her battler tomorrow after work.

I can't decide wich one I want to use. I can't import the faces, because then, it just end in chaos somehow.

Anyway, I heavily edited the first post. New graphics for the characters, and other funny stuff. Please, check it out.

Rose Memories Version 1.2

Im using a new font also. I guess all of you have Tahoma <_<

Nearly all the Battler graphic has been changed. The same with sprite graphics.

Anyway, the demo is also smaller then the old one. The old demo used to be over 30 MB, but this one is only 8.87MB.

Im still thinking on how I want that system. In the new demo, Im still using the faceset system, but I don't know if I will keep it...

Sadly, you need To have the RTP to play the game. Since Im using at least 3 RTP tilesets and all civilian and Noble characters, and I kind of forgot to add them into the demo folder

But those who have the program will be able to play the game without any problem. I will post a download to the missing files later.

I think the faceset system is too obstructive to the map and it obscures a lot of it. The second looks cleaner and less obnoxious.

The project is running along well right now. Still, Those faces Im using is getting very annoying. So basicly, Im looking for an artist, who's willing to make some facesets for this game.

I need new faces to all characers. Im putting them on a list here, with their characer sprite, so you can see what you are working from.

Here's the ones to start with.

The artist will be on the credit list. As a reward, the creater will get +Rep

I don't need a face artist anymore. I fixed the faces by myself.

Here's the new menu. For those who has played the demo, much has changed.


And I have changed the message system. Instead of Dubealex, Im using Ccoa. I used to have chibi faces, but fixed my own. Just need to find a darker windowskin.


Now, I have a long work to edit every message I have in the entire game, wich means, I need to code everything from the beginning, wich will take me the whole night

But Im happy anyway

This project is going very...very slow right now. The main problem is when I changed message system, I was forced to change every message code in every conversation in the game, wich I haven't finished yet. I have 73 maps to edit every conversation on, and it takes very long time.

And at this point, I have got the thing trhat always ruin my games. It's called "New idea". Yesterday, when I was heading home from the pub, I got a new idea of the next game Im going to make after this game. The problem is, that whenever I think of this idea, I want to start with that game, but I want to finish Rose Memories first, but all this coding pains my ass.

I wouldn't go back and do all that.

Don't think about it, finish Rose Memories, and when you make this new idea. Think how you can make it more improved that Rose Memories. Just write down the whole concept of it somewhere, so you don't half to worry about forgetting. Anyhow, I await your next event request.

I could changed back to my old message system, and continue on my game. The reason I changed system was because of the face problem I had with my old one.

But, it means that I need to code everything from the beginning anyway, since Im planning to not use facesets in my message system anymore.

A little update of the progress.

I have been planned for the next chapter in the Rose Memories series. After Rose Memoires is finished, I will start on Rose Memories Chapter 2: Molitva.

Im just planning. Nothing is for sure yet. The project is still on a slow state rfight now, but Im working on it.

Sorry about that. I have a new comp, and this game is now on my bors comp, and he has a password to access to the comp.

To really tell the truth, I haven't worked on this since November

I have already explained the reason in another post. I changed system, and the coding ended up in crap, and I lost motivation.

And Im sorry that I haven't kept Ark and Shaz informed of this, since they are my eventers. Maybe I should had sended and PM to both of you earlier.

I could possibly do a remake of this, with the same story, but we will see.
