How to make a treasure box...

Hello...
I think that has been posted up before in another version/place but, I wanted to add a few pictures/ideas of my own. Again this has been said many a time and I hate to be a broekn record but... I'm new to this. :|

So here it goes...






If you want me to add dirrections for this and how its done, please let me know. Also, if you have any add ins/comments/whatevers, please feel free to express them to me.

That chest opens a little slow for my taste dwarra. But yeah, otherwise perfect. Sorry shycolor... but yours just... isn't very good.

If the chest opens too slow for you, change the wait times between the move event to lesser frame rate. I.e. 2 frames.

^^ But in other words, that's how you should make a treasure chest

Well I'll admit that dwarra's script is 1000 x better then my own...

How I got to my conclusion with my script was mostly guess work and looking at other similar scripts/events/ideas and hoping it turned out. I got the damned box to open so i was a little proud of that accomplishment. (Sad huh?) I probably shouldn't have bothered posting it... *shrug* but I kinda wanted to share.

I don't really think it was "stupid" per say... just a lame way to go about it...

...but thanks for the posts/comments and thank you dwarra for the better idea..

Edit: Do you think that the same principal could be applied to an annimated door? If so... Should I change anything?
