I tried to make a skill called Sword Mastery Lv.1 up to Lv.10 but somehow only Sword Mastery Lv.1 works and the others doesn't. The skill I wrote calls a common event called "Sword Masteries", it's scope is "none" and it's usage is "never". I suspect the problem lies in the common event "Sword Masteries". Here's the screen shot so you may cross examine it.

Help please!

I'm not sure if the guy who just posted answered your question, and if he did, then I am probably interpreting the problem wrong, but firstly, what do you mean by the others don't work? Do they not increase STR or do they increase it by too much? The problem I see with this is that it would increase it by too much, unless you first remove the previous mastery level.

This is because calling the common event will run and for each skill will add the STR associated with it. It  is an easy fix, but is this your problem?

My problem was Sword Mastery Lv. 1 works well, but when it gets deleted and replaced by a higher level of it's version(e.g. Sword Mastery Lv.3), the bonuses won't trigger.

Do you call that common event at the time you receive the skill?

LOLIGOTZERGRUSHED

I call them via the skill tab in the database.

That won't work, you have your masteries set as never use, and the common event you assign to them can only be run if you activate the skill. You need to run the common event directly after you obtain the skill.

I see my mistake now, many thanks modern algebra.

I think this problem is resolved now.
