Character sprites in RPG Maker 2003 (Updated with 64x64 prototype)

Bit of a Sci-Fi nut
I just need to know the size in pixels for each sprite (32x32 or 64x64?), and the background colour you need

EDIT: Okay, done a bit of an experiment and looked at the free resources stuff available at the home page. It's 64x64 isn't it? Trust me to do a 32x32 test then (see attachment)...

EDIT: Oky-doo... 64x64 version. I have a bit of an odd style I'll admit... Now just to figure out how animations work! (I know the frames all go in the same image, but how to tie frames to animations and so on I'll have to find/figure out)
