Welcome to my first nublet all-in-one tutorial.IntroductionIn this tutorial I'm going to teach you guys how to make a Story,
complete with Title, Characters and maps.
TitleSo this is a good story, now what Title do we need?!
This is a pretty good question, alot of people have a stupid name with 'Legend, Legacy or Dark, Dragon, Red etc.'
My game is called Dimension, because the lead character goes to another Dimension.
The Other Dimension stands central, since everything plays there.
i.e. a subtitle, when you have confirmed that you are going to use (in my case) dimension as a title.
And you want to make chapters.
You will need Sub Title's, right? Or you could just call it like FF8, FF11 and stuff, but that's just not always so awesome.
So in this chapter of the game, the story goes as the following; A guy sees an old man he has to find a girl bla bla bla.
So he has to travel to the other dimension.
You could call it; Dimension: The Other Dimension (I call it since it is the first part of the game.)
CharactersYou will need original characters.
My lead characters name is Luka, it is the name of a brother of a old friend of mine.
It is original, people like it (at least, some. Lol).
Now what we are going to do is ask around for names.
i.e. Ask what your brother/sisters friends name, or his/her brothers name.
If you like a name, choose it!
There is no one to harm you.
We are on the interwebz.
The worst they can do is send you a virus that kills your computer.
Now, I have my character, now I have to put it in the story, what does the character do, where does he live, etc.
The Esscence of good story writingIf you want to make a story, make sure you have patience.
If you don't want to make a story yourself, I suggest you make a short story,
and ask if someone else can work it out.
I created a new story for you d00ds,
and ofcourse I want to show it.
The StoryHere it is; just 1 hour of work!
Near the road to Rootwidth, lives Luka, in a old barn.
He has black hair, brown eyes and isn’t really on the good path.
He steals, valuable things; Rings, Necklaces, Money, and much more.
His dog; Ira, and Luka go to Lake Ronto on a beautiful, sunny Saturday.
But when he comes there, there are happening strange things.
He sees a man, an old man.
He tells him about ‘The Other Dimension’, as they call it.
‘584 years ago, there was a Dimension Guard.
Destined to hold guard in the Other Dimension portal forever.
One day there came a stranger in Pigo Town, in ‘The Other Dimension’, he didn’t say his name.
When he left, he got to the Dimension Guard, and tortured him, asking where the key was. Till the Dimension Guard died.
The stranger left, and didn’t come back for century’s!
When he came back, he seeded Chaos.
He destroyed towns, people and even the Temple of Aragoth.
The key of Dimension was in the Temple, and the stranger found it by accident.
He waited, till he had enough power, since he didn’t have much power left after seeding chaos.’
‘He wants to come to this Dimension, and take over a girl’s body.
You have to find her, and bring her to me.’ The man said.
‘I will do my best, sir, but where can I find her?’ Luka said.
‘You know her, Luka, you know her.’
‘No, not... not... That can’t be true! NOT ROSA!’ said Luka.
‘I have to find her!’
And Luka left, and got on his adventure.
When he came at Rosa’s house, she was gone.
He went to the pub 54 miles north of Rootwidth.
She wasn’t there neither.
He went mad; ‘SHE HAS TO BE SOMEWHERE!’
Then when he travelled along, he saw here. Fainted on the ground.
‘Rosa, Rosa, do you hear me?’
‘I... ughh.’
‘Arghh! I have to bring her to a doctor!’ Luka said.
When they came at the doctor, he didn’t totally trust him...
He gave Rosa a recipe, to get at the Apothecary.
When they stopped by the road, on the way to the apothecary, there came Robbers.
They started to first mess around with Luka’s stuff, and Luka got pissed.
He grabbed his knife, and slaughtered them; He didn’t want them to kill Rosa.
Rosa was just awake when that happened, and she ran away.
Luka tried to find her everywhere, but couldn’t.
‘She has to be gone, she has too. Arghh!’
He got to the Old Man, to tell him that he lost her.
When he came there, he saw a massacre.
Blood, everywhere. Ripped clothes, and a note.
It said: “You can’t win, I got the old man, AND the girl.”
Then Luka saw that the portal to ‘The Other Dimension’ was open.
He ran right into it. And ran to the nearest town.
But there was no one there...
When he got to the Temple, the biggest building, he saw all the people hiding.
They were frightened, and they tried to ran away from Luka.
But Luka wasn’t dumb, and tried to keep order.
‘I ain’t a bad guy! I am here to rescue a girl, a man and this Dimension!’
The people didn’t trusted him...
Weeks he worked hard, did all kinds of quests till they finally trusted him.
The head man of the town, Guro the Old Wise, said that the people of Pigo town trusted him.
They helped him, get strong... They trained him, they give him food, they all helped him.
When he turned 21, he got a present from Guro, the head man of the town.
It was a beautiful dagger. Really beautiful!
It was silver, with a Diamond in the grip, it was sure a real one.
He was going to Guro, when there was a small raid.
There were some goblins, trying to burn down a house.
Luka got there as fast as possible, when he saw that they took a hostage.
Luka tried to kill him, but he couldn’t.
He first took out the other Goblins, when the last goblin finally let Lisa go; Lisa told her name in the Inn, after the fight.
She said that she tried to fight the goblins herself, but that she was too weak.
When she asked what Luka was doing here, he explained everything.
That his friend, Rosa was kidnapped by an evil guy, the old man where he had to bring Rosa too was killed, and the rest.
Lisa offered to help Luka, and ofcourse he said yes; he could use all the help he can get.
Together they went fighting evil, doing a lot of quests, meeting new people and making a lot of new friends.
How does it end with the bad guys? Play the game!This is my example on how to make a story,
I did make the end short,
because I don't want you guys to know everything.
Now I have a story, characters and a title.
Now we still need maps!
Oh god, what do I have to do?
I can't map!

An other dimension doesn't have to look different then the normal dimension.
In my other dimension there is a normal town, with slight different things.
There are monsters, they have a temple/church etc.
With the custom RTP tilesets you can do alot, remember that!
Now, the enviroment of a town looks clean; they rebuilded it after the chaos.
They have nice gardens, a nice temple, everything nice and peaceful.
But you still need events!
Your character could do quests, such as; Oh noes! My child got kidnappedz! Get her backz!!!11
Or we could make a new town, totally ruined, with alot of monsters, as a cutscene.
Now it's all pretty basic.
