Go away Hakumen...
Working off the time portal idea, does anyone know of a large massive portal animation, like that of a black or worm hole?

if you work ur event systems around enough, anythings possible. I once use a combo of a suddenly faded out screen and the poison animation magnified really big to represent a blackhole. It's sound effects which really fo the job.

use the animation editor for the entire thing. Reason being it can add all the graphics, sounds, flashes, and whatever else, unless you want the screen to shake, in which case add that before the first command below. Then use the event command "Show animation". It should be like this:

@> Show Animation (Player, Warp)
@> Wait [animation's length] frame(s)
@> Transfer Player (where ever), No Fade

remember, just for look, i would take off a few frames off the wait to warp right before you can see ur player again.

like this:
Spoiler for warp event:
added a bit of fanciness to it but i figured i should address this "wormhole idea
-for the second part i made a map called "warp zone" covered in a black tile with priority 5 to make sure the character wasn't visible and the blackhole had a background.
