In any case, we aren't allowed to make just anything we want to in many other genres, why would it bother you that it shows up in video games as well. In Germany, you aren't allowed to write anything that denies the holocaust. You get put in jail for denying the holocaust in fact.

I think if that an AO rating though would do just fine for this though.

Manhunt 1 SUCKED so badly. It had about 20 minutes of gameplay. But the brute violence doesn't appeal to anyone but sterotypical college-bound teen-adults. Seriously, I would rather have them ban horrible games.

And not just because of the M rating, but because they suck.

But either way, they cannot ban the game. Totally unconstitutional. If I stood up on a box at a street corner and played the game, they can't stop me. Freedom Of Speech kills.

Although total-murder games may seem to some people as just a energy releaser, it can have an effect on some people. They can ban this game, it isn't unconstitutional. The game is being made my a third party developer for a system owned by another company. Some games are absolute horrible. People who constantly think in ways the media influenced them, like Saw or Hostel, GTA or Manhunt. Murder is in our genes, murder has happened in the first book of the bible, there is nothing we can do about that. But, what we can is try and stop some of this intense violence, because some people who are like that may end up killing someone anyway, but the media makes it more intense.

It is all a matter of human conflict, freedom makes it worse.

Freedom of speech is a human right, yes, but with freedom comes responsibility. It doesn't mean you can go up to someone and start insulting them and then cover up with "freedom of speech". Though there is freedom (or should be except for this damn political correctness sh*t that seems to be all the rage), there is also a need for self-control so that the freedom can STAY free.

Seriously, they CAN ban the game. Freedom of Speech is unlimited, it depends on the medium your using it with. If I made a game console, and someone wanted Manhunt to come out on them, I would tell the to get the fuck out of my office. They own the system, they can tell them to get lost.
