While it did become invite only, the convention also was moved to a warehouse (instead of the convention center), and doesn't have the giganormous booths (or the babes

) of past E3's.

They better have some great game news to make up for the loss of showiness.

no, i didnt mean it isnt completely invite only, because that would be impossible, i meant that the invitation only was only part of how E3 is different this year.

Booth Babes- Yes No (went with expensive booths, but I'm not totally sure)

Expensive Booths- Yes No

Gaming announcements
and demos- Yes Yes

As you can see, E3 is fundamentally unchanged, but more than the exclusivity has been altered.

nope. Well, last time I read. I think.

Think about it. If developers are trying to get rid of the expense of E3 by getting rid of booths, why would they keep booth babes? The babe's purpose was to attract convention-goers, and now because it's invite (companies and press only, presumably), they don't need that anymore.
