how do you choose a party starting location?

your new to RPG maker, huh? well on the Event Layer, Right-Click on the area you want to start and click Place Starting Possition.

Oh, just a side note. Make sure the tile you start them on is one you can walk on, or you won't be able to move. When I was a beginner to the program I did that a few times. Just in case, ya know?
