Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how to create a wrap around map?
I need to make a world map where you can walk around the world, but don't want to just teleport from one side to another.
In RM2k, you could choose vertical scrolling, horizontal scrolling, both, or neither in map options, but in XP I cant find an option for this.  Is it in the script? A hidden option? Glaringly obvious and I'm dumb? Please help!

Unfortunately there isn't an option for it, and I haven't seen a script.

There's probably only one way to do that: scripting.

Wait, are you saying what you want is when you walk the map scrolls?

RPG Maker XP does this automatically.

wah
No like if you go all the way to the right of the map and press right once more, you'll get to the way left side but you won't teleport. It would seem as if you're just walking right again, like the real world. You could try making an empty area of stuff from the area that's the length of the window screen and the height of the map on the way left. Then, when you press right when you're at the way right, you just teleport to the left... I'll show you what I mean in a demo soon enough.

Let's attack agressively.
wow...too bad it doesnt have that option on XP....well you can make a event that when touched or collision it will teleport to the other are but make the transition instant erase and instant show.

my best version of a wrap around map has a copy of the terrain from the other side on both edges.  when you cross a boundry, it will bring up a combat encounter, then after fight, return you to coorosponding point near other shore, and the player would never know he was moved (because view would match) .  If only I could teleport without a transition, I wouldn't need the combat encounter.

Whole thing is one event in corner of map.*

Will this make the view stay the same during teleport, or would it show the fade/erase transition?
