My idea for a "Kingdom Hearts" that I want to make.

Okay. It's going to be a long while before KH3 is even announced, but I still want to make a game using the KH:CoM sprites, and the normal KH/KH2 battle engine (ABS) to make what I hope to be close to the real KH3 if and when it comes out. I would call the game "Kingdom Hearts: The New Worlds". Here are my ideas for worlds:

Destiny Islands: Not the original area, the town where we see Kari in KH2

Disney Castle: Second world after the town in Destiny Islands. Mickey says that new worlds have appeared, and Maleficent has taken total control of the Heartless by using an old machine Ansem developed and her magic

Port Royal: Of course, since the final 2 movies have come out since KH2, I'd include Davy Jones
Partner: First Half: Will Turner (Jack is in the locker) Second half: Jack Sparrow
Keyhole Location: Dead Man's Chest Keyhole

Andy's Room: The world from Toy Story/Toy Story 2, Sora, Donald and Goofy have become toys, and must stop a strange toy that has come to Andy's Room and threatened the others [It's not Buzz, this takes place after TS2, and the toy is a Heartless that wants Andy's heart])
Partner: Buzz Lightyear
Keyhole Location: The keyhole of the door to Andy's Room

Ant Island: The world from A Bug's Life, Sora, Donald and Goofy have become insects to help Flik save his colony from the grasshoppers
Partner: Flik
Keyhole Location: On the tree on Ant Island

Monsteropolis: The world from Monsters Inc. Sora and crew become monster-like [Not like in Halloween Town. Think Pixar versions] and befriend Mike and Sully to uncover what happened to Monsters Inc. [Randal and Waternoose are Heartless]
Partner: Sully
Keyhole Location: Keyhole on Boo's door

Great Reef: The world from Finding Nemo, Sora and crew become fish, and journey with Marlin and Dorrie to rescue Nemo.
Partner: Dorrie
Keyhole Location: Side of Marlin and Nemo's Sea Anemone home

Jungle Island: The world from The Incredible, Sora, Donald and Goofy become Keymaster, Duckwiz, and Guardian Knight and fight alongside the Incredible to save the world from Syndrome.
Partner: Mr. Incredible
Keyhole Location: Inside the core of Syndrome's robot at the end

Radiator Springs: The world from Cars, Sora and crew are now a car (Sora), a pickup (Goofy), and a helicopter (Donald), respectively. They travel with Lightning McQueen and Mater to find the Keyhole.
Partner: Lightning McQueen
Keyhole Location: Lightning McQueen's door keyhole

Neverland: Not just the freakin' pirate ship. The woods, the Lost Boys' Treehouse, and several other places from the movie.
Partner: Peter Pan
Keyhole Location: Lost Boys' Tree

Hundred Acre Wood: Not just a minigame land anymore! A strange creature, believed to be a "Jagular" has invaded the woods (a heartless) and Pooh decides to be brave and help Sora, Donald and Goofy to defeat it.
Partner: Winnie the Pooh
Keyhole Location: The door to Pooh's house

African Jungle: The world from the Jungle Book (why they used "Tarzan" instead of this, I'll never know) travel with Baloo, Bagheera and Mowgli to find the Keyhole.
Partner: Mowgli
Keyhole Location: Village gate (after Mowgli enters at the end)

Rescue Woods: The world from the TV show: Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers, Sora, Donald and Goofy will travel with the Rescue Rangers to defeat their enemy, Fat Cat, who has kidnapped Gadget.
Partner: Chip and Dale (work as one)
Keyhole Location: Prison cell in Fat Cat's lair

Duckville: The world from DuckTales, Sora and crew meet up with Scrooge McDuck and Donald's nephews; Huey, Dewey, and Louie. They must stop Magica DeSpell, who is a friend of Maleficent, from using the Heartless to take over Duckville. Also appearing: Launchpad, Webby, & Mrs. Beakley)
Partner: Scrooge McDuck
Keyhole Location: At the bottom of Scrooge's Money pool

I am not a Disney fanatic, but I grew up watching the TV Shows and movies, so I remember them. And what I don't remember, I have fansites and Wikipedia for. They usually spark some nostalgic memories in me. So, what do you all think? That's just the worlds I have so far. Maleficent is going to be the major bad guy, and I'm not too much into Final Fantasy, but Cloud, Sephiroth, Leon, Yuffie, Cid,  and aeris will reappear in this. I can picture the game in 3D, but, unfortunately, I will have to make it with sprites, because I'm not that good with 3D yet. Basically, I need feedback and ideas on this. How's it sound overall to you all?

  looks ok.......first you will need to build the story (im not good at), then look for the graphics your gonna use (like KH:CoM) and if your going to make it ABS, you should finsd one on the internet or create one yourself.

You should first develop the story and the system first, so you could know quickly if you could make it.
I recommend the Pixelmovement Script.

I agree. I think that the hardest part would be getting all the spritesets.

And the tileset, and the scripts, but the bgm is probably easy to find than the others.
Try hard, and don't lose hope.
Finish the game so we can play it.

Sprite rips from KH:CoM could be easily done, and I encourage you to finish this. You've given thought to the different areas. Other than that, everything else has been said already. Will we be excpecting a new topic in the 'Projects' section soon...?

Wow! I didn't expect so many postitve replies so soon! Yes, hopefully I will be able to begin this project soon, but I do have a few other things to finish first. Also, I need to brainstorm a bit more on plot. As for the spritesheets and tilesets, I'm more of a story building person, so if anyone out there can help me with some of those, I would appreciate it to no end. You would be credited, of course. I'm trying to think if the Pixar worlds were ever in a different GBA game with the same sprite style. Cause if they were, I'm on easy street. Otherwise, I will DEFINITELY need help to bring this game to life.

all I have to say is that the keyholes are all parts of the world
therefore the keyhole shouldn't be on lightning's door.

I'm at a bit of a dead end. I know there was a Toy Story game for SNES and Genesis, but I can't find sprites for it anywhere. If anyone can find actual links to any Pixar sprites, I would really appreciate it.

however, these ideas for the different worlds are great, so if nothing else, square should steal your concept. (of course,  not your story, just the worlds).

i think it's a bit odd that lightning mcQueen would be looking for a keyhole though...

he wouldn't be. He and Mater would help Sora to find it once they meet. But I can't  find any Pixar sprites. If anyone wants to make them, I would appreciate it.

oh.

in that case, youd want to have some sort of conflict happening within the world when Sora arrives, so there's a point to having the world. (e.g. the conflict from the movie)

Those are great! The only problem that still exists is whether or not I can find Pixar Sprites. If there are no Pixar sprites available, though, the whole game is a moot point. The majority of the worlds are Pixar worlds, so without the sprites, I can't make the game. I appreciate the Sora and Riku sprites, and if anyone can find Pixar sprites to help complete the game, I will DEFINITELY use them. But again, without the Toy Story, Nemo, Cars, Monsters Inc. and Bug's Life sprites, I can't really make the game, since that's, like, half of the worlds.
