[RESOLVED] Making a 2D Side Scroll Game

Hello! I'm quite new in making games and such...  But I would really like to try make a game with 2D side scroll... Like in the old Mario games... So does anyone got time to help me out a bit? I got RMXP.

I think you got the wrong program. This is for rpgs, in which you upgrade your character all the time and see him involve, and it's mostly a 3d game. For a 2d game, and especially for mario ones, i suggest you use gamemaker, which is also supoorted on this site. It's used for almost every kind of game, but it's kinda easy to make a platform game with it. It's a little more complicated then RPG maker, because you have to do some coding yourself, but if you want to make a platform game, thats THE program. There are also some very very very good tutorials on this site, where you can also download it ( a trial i thought): http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker Ask further information here if you want, cause I've worked with the program too (it's very easy, and you can make very different kinds of games).
