Im thinking Fox/Wolf/Meta Knight as my mains.
Im not really missing anybody in paticular. But they should have kept all the characters
(although Roy was actually more widely used than Marth, I'm sure).
Nope.

Just speculating. From what I've heard Roy was more popular but it's not like I did any sort of research or anything.

Falcon

I plan to man Luigi, and I'll probably use Wolf also, I hated fox's recovery move, good opponents (like my friends) will kill you when you try to charge that up. Luigi never had that problem.

I got my arse kicked at a tourney because of this

What's weird about the Fox-Falco-Wolf clone triangle is that they all have the same Final Smash, when apparently Falco hated how the Landmaster looked and Wolf never used it.
QuoteFrom Smashwiki: "Falco never used a Landmaster in any Star Fox game, he actually showed extreme disliking towards the machine in Star Fox 64."
This is true, but he (along with Fox, Krystal, and Slippy) used the Landmaster in Star Fox Assault. Also, what's weird is that in Star Fox Assault, Wolf was an unlockable character in multiplayer mode, so he could've used a Landmaster.

Differences between Fox, Falco, and Wolf:
Fox McCloud
Blaster
Fox Illusion
Fire Fox
Reflector
Landmaster
Falco Lombardi
Blaster (slower than Fox's; stuns opponent)
Falco Phantasm (cover's shorter distance; if used in air can hit opponents)
Fire Bird (takes much longer to charge up)
Reflector (damages opponent; apparently he can also throw it?)
Landmaster (same as Fox's apparently)
Wolf O'Donnel
Blaster (slower than Falco's; stronger and higher knockback)
Wolf Illusion (covers more distance; sends Wolf upward a little)
Booster Pack (instant use; unknown if damaging, mainly used as recovery; sends Wolf higher than Falco/Fox; cannot change direction)
Reflector (seems the same, except it makes like a purple force field)
Landmaster (red, seems more powerful, slower, less maneuverable, and doesn't last as long)

I got my information from SmashWiki.

I was surprised to see Falco using a Landmaster, too!  'Cause in Star Fox 64 (I forget how the lines go exactly, but they're something along these words) Falco and Fox have an exchange of words that goes something like: "How's the Landmaster, Fox?"  "Why don'tcha try it and find out?"  "No thanks, I'll take the sky any day."

In Brawl, I guess since he's on the ground anyway, he doesn't mind stepping inside a tank for a while. :)

I like that Wolf's Landmaster is red, just like how his ships (the Wolfen) look similar to Arwings except in red.

And just now, I found some pretty cool screenshots of a new Pokémon stage, the Spear Pillar (thanks, Serebii.net!):
Dialga is in the background here, but it is suggested that Palkia shows up, too.  Some platforms are destructable, but they reform after a while via Spacial Rend!!
Apparently the Brawl Landmaster's appearance is a fusion of the Star Fox 64 and Assault Landmaster's appearances.

It still has the futuristic appearance from Assault, but has tank treads, like in 64.

In Assault, it had tires.

I think the Landmaster can roll in Brawl, which was used in this video (which also shows Falco's dislike for the tank): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JjfBZeN3Zw
Here's the Landmaster in gameplay in Assault (Falco asks Fox if he needs him to go down there, which is weird but he probably meant on foot)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLKmmF40cFE

Yup, it can roll in Brawl.

Aw man, watching that video makes me so nostalgic. :O~  "Use bombs wisely!"

And the Falco/Fox exchange goes:
"I think you look better in a tank."
"Why don't you come down here, Falco?"
"I'll pass, Fox."

So my interpretation was way off.  XD  I could have sworn there's some point where Falco says "I'll take the sky any day," but maybe I'm thinking of the level with the submarine thing.  Falco didn't seem fond of that one, either.

Something else weird I found out. You know the Devil Assist Trophy?

Devil World (the game he came from) apparently was never released here, because of religious controversy.
QuoteFrom Wikipedia:
"The game had similar gameplay to that of Pac-Man. It is the only game designed by Shigeru Miyamoto that has not been released in the United States (considering that Doki Doki Panic became Super Mario Bros. 2 in America), despite the fact that all versions of the game are simple and in English. This is due to Nintendo of America's strict policies on the use of religious icons in games, which were at their strictest level at the time of the game's original release. Despite this, it was released in Europe."

"Players control Tamagon, a green dragon who decides to "attack the Devil's World", along with a red Player 2 version of him. He navigates through a series of mazes and touches Crosses to power up and summon the ability to breathe fire and eat the Boa Boa Dots of the maze. The large winged demon simply called "the Devil" disco dances at the top of the screen, pointing the direction for his minions to move the maze. After the first maze is cleared, the next objective is to get four Bibles (which would later appear in The Legend of Zelda, though renamed "Book of Magic" in the English release), and put them into a seal. The Bibles give Tamagon the same powers as with the Crosses."

That's not really that weird. Many games were either never released here or censored due to religious connotations.

Yea, I guess.

Arrow

They took all the crosses off the hospital signs in Earthbound, you know.

Zylos

Nintendo did some heavy censoring back then. Each and everyone of these games was censored in the USA:
ActRaiser
ActRaiser 2
Bionic Commando
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
Dragon Warrior
Dragon Warrior II
Dragon Warrior III
Dragon Warrior IV
Doom
Ducktales
EarthBound
AD&D: Eye of the Beholder
Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy II (Final Fantasy IV)
Final Fantasy III (Final Fantasy VI)
Final Fantasy Legend II
Final Fight
Iron Tank
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Lufia 2
Maniac Mansion
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!
Mortal Kombat
Out of this World
Super Castlevania IV
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Wolfenstein 3D
Nowadays it doesn't matter as much, so Nintendo of America can get away with these simple things.

Irock

They also removed a trophy from the US version of Melee for having the word "Demon" in it.

That seems to be the main character of Devil World. :O

I know. I think they left a cross on somewhere, which doesn't make much sense. But it wasn't for religious purposes, it was for legal purposes, because of the Red Cross Association.

@Irock- Yea, the only way to get to it is by a cheat device like Action Replay.

Arrow

!

No wonder my brother couldn't get that one last trophy!

Though for some reason, even with the memory card data, we couldn't get helmetless samus or captain olimar...

I have Olimar, how do you get Helmetless Samus?

biohazard

I'm guessing beat MP1 or something, I don't actually know though. I do have olimar, I'm missing about 5 trophies from Melee.

I had both of these ???  I just used to put the coins in the machine, and i got them both >_>

Yossy

The special Samus trophy can only be obtained with Action Replay.

And I have nothing interesting to say about Brawl at this time.

I'm curious, for stuff like stages from different games, do they make their own textures or do they use textures from the game and then revamp them? That's probably a stupid question though...
Also, Aero Dive looks really really nice!

Forty

it does, but I was hoping they would reveal a character

... All the characters have been confirmed already. They aren't all on the Dojo yet, but if you take 5 seconds to read other posts in this thread you'll see them. If you're hoping there's going to be an additional character from the Japanese version, I think you're going to be disappointed.

My guess is that they're revamped...

I came across Brawl's version of the Green Hill Zone music and I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't rearranged.  I totally understand that they wanted to keep the classic sound to match the classic-looking stage, but...  I was really looking forward to hearing an awesomified version of that song.
