[RESOLVED] RPG Maker 2k3 Help!

for some odd reason when I try to create a gamedisk for my project I get an error

"cannot copy file - system error (1026)

anyone know whats wrong ? i had no problem before, but now im getting this error ... this is my 1st game and was tryin to make a demo to send to a friend but I can't get it to work ... if all my work is down the tubes and a waste ill be SUPER pissed ><

first thing first, make a backup so you dont get pissed. I 100% am sure you will keep your game (once you make this backup no matter what happens)

now start a new game and attempt to make a game disk, what happens?

mmm well lets see .. I made a back-up, closed the project .. started a new one then tryed to make a gamedisk .. and get the same error ..

also this seems like a computer system error and not an error with game maker itself .. because after i click ok on the error another message comes up that says the gamedisk was installed fine .. but it really wasn't due to the error

i dunno wtf is wrong .. any help would be very very thanked !

what are you computer specs? do they meet requirments for rpg maker?

also what is your HD size? sounds like you dont have enough room.

I run rpg maker fine .. im using my spare computer to do this so the HD is only 12 GB with 8GB free .. when i ran rpg maker for the 1st time and was learnin how to use it i created a gamedisk just fine to test if it worked .. for some reason now i can't make one .. i don't beilve the game file would be 8gb+ would it lol ??

if the game is bigger then 8gb then lol .. its only 5% done .. so i cuz ill call it a wrap and quit now >< or transfer the files to my main PC... but like i said .. it can't be that big .. i tryed making a new project with just 1 map 20 by 15 and it still would make a disc

im getting angry ! i just want it to work

not sure where i got the 1st copy .. but that worked finally ! haha .. thanx alot nouman for the help .. im n00b with this but im learning haha
