Pretty interesting topic....Just give your computer specs

Bought it in 2006....HP pavilion (whatever you call it)
right now it has 2GB of RAM (SUPER FAST plays anything)
about 2 Hard drives one is 500GB(my music movies, RPG MAker) and the other is 250 GB (for some work my bro does)
don't know the name but I got this Nvidia graphics card for $200 so it SHOULD be high powered.
Some creative sound blaster dolby 7.1 (don't really need to know that)
a 21 inch flat panel.
Windows XP service pack 2 (the best)

pretty cool eh !

that would be junk such as cookies and temporary internet files jamming up your browser. it also worth checking your process list for anything that doesnt need to be running and deleting its startup entry :)

can windows even run on 32 mb of ram?_?

The XP installer won't install if the system it's running on has less than 64MB, though there's ways to get around it.

Once you disable stuff, XP is fine on 32mb RAM. I ran it for ages on a Pentium 233 with 32Mb ram. Like I said, once you disable alot of useless stuff (shadows, transitions, and other non-visual stuff) it runs nice and fast. Well, as fast as a P233 would have you expecting.

As fast as, if not faster than, Windows 98. With the added stability of using an NT kernel, so. I guess for something with that little RAM, Windows 2000 would probably be a better choice.

yes, it does run. I have plenty of extra... contiguous memory? *forgets what its called ...*
i should just go buy a 512 card.
