I heard nothing about new episodes or a new boxed set. In the DVD commentaries they do joke that there will be a Futurama reunion special where Frye gets married to Lelah, the Kiff kids all grow up, Zoidburg becomes the king of his people and conquers earth. Those were just jokes I'm sure, but they had them well thought out.

With the Family Guy, back before their big return to Fox, Seth McFarlan took it upon himself to fund the Stewey Griffen untold story. Those 3 episodes essentially brought the series back to Fox (all the write ins did nothing), then the DVD was released.
