Need help with maps

is there anyway i can invert the colors of the map or have get them to be black and white? Thank you!

Yes, there is a way, export the tileset and open it up in paint, save as: What ever, and choose the file type as a monochrome bitmap. Makes it black, wala.
Then just import the black and white map, then in the database, go into the map tab and find the full color map and replace it with the black and white map. Easy as pie.

Or you can tint the screen to make it black & white, well shades of grey, but I assume that is what you mean by black & white. If you want to invert, then you might need to go through the process mexneto described.
