Love... What is true love?

Hi! I was wondering about, well... just as the title says - what, exactly, true love?
I'm, as everyone is sometimes, over my head in love with someone, although... Even though the feeling when thinking about her and looking at her is wonderful, I can't stand the extreme and horrible pain knowing that it's never going to happen!!

Every night when I go to sleep I can't stop thinking about her and it just end with me crying the entire night till I have to take a shower and go to school. And of course, there she is! What the hell should I do!? I can't stand this anymore!

I'd say it's likely you aren't really in love and one day you'll either get over it or maybe you'll get lucky and you two will get together and things will be great. But probably the former. ~

You're 14; you're not. You might feel you "know" I'm wrong there, but I'm not wrong. I look back now at when I was younger and reckoned I was in love, lol.

What you described sounds like a crush or infatuation.

I can say that I am in love though. I've been with my bf for more than 2 yrs now.
So unless you've been in like with this girl for a long time you can't really say that you're in love.

Length of time has nothing to do with it. Immature love can sometimes outlast true love. It could, at least, if love was not just a chemical reaction that spurs our desire to multiply.

What you really have to do is ask yourself something: WHY do you love her? If you can't answer that question, or think you "just do," then you don't. Plain and simple.

anyways, my thoughts on true love is i know it exists, cause my grandma had true love with her husband, and i guess true love is when you and your partner love each other unconditionally, and its true, and forever. it will never change.
this cant always happen, but i know it can if youre patient enough!
i know i think ill love my boyfriend forever, even if we break up. im not sure if its "true love" just yet, but hes just so amazing!
i think true love has to be for both you and your partner

and if you really care about this girl, stop thinking what if and go for it. you'll always be disapointed if you never try anything
