[RESOLVED] need a script for preventing a event

I am using the abs battle system and I need to know how to make a  event which will teleport you somewhere if you defeat the boss and if you go to the event but didnt defeat the boss then a mesage will pop up saying something along the lines of you cant pass unless you defeat the boss, I posted this here because I think that a script would be needed, and then I could just use the call script command, thanks in sdvance if some one could make a script for me which does that, I will credit you if you do.

Switches...lemme give a rough outline of the event

Conditional Branch: When switch [Defeated Boss] is on
teleport to [Map]

Conditional Branch: When switcj [Defeated boss] is off
Show message: Beat the bloody boss!!


Also, at the map where the boss is, make a switch called Defeated Boss or whatever you want and turn it on when the player beats the boss...

If you don't get it I could get some screens soon..or someone else *wink wink nudge nudge*

I know what you mean but how would I make it so when I defeated the boss then the switch would turn off?...would I have to make another switch as well for the boss?

No... set the switch to on when the boss is dead
Or if you want the switch to turn off when you beat the boss, set the switch to on at the start of the game or somewhere before you come across the teleport event

Also, I think this thread should be in troubleshooting... not scripts

It'd all be done with 1 switch right? Like in the event with the boss, you turn the switch ON AFTER the boss encounter. Am I making sense? O_o

P.S You turn the switch ON, not OFF right?

sorry rune, but I didnt know if this problem needed a script or not so I presumed it needed one, so what would I use in the event screen to make the teleport event work when the boss is dead...what I mean is how do I make it so when the boss dies the teleport event happens?, because as you know Imm using the abs battle system and the bosses ID is boss\e[2]\b

Hold on... which ABS are you using? I tried something like this with Blizzard's ABS and couldn't get it to work :-\

I'm using blizards one, works just fine for me

I kept having trouble getting the enemies to disappear after they were killed... :-\

Hmm... make a new page in the boss' event. Put the boss image/charset/whatever you call it on page 2, and on page 1 do this

Switch operation: [Defeated Boss] ON

Now on the teleport event, do what Winged said:

Conditional Branch: When switch [Defeated Boss] is on
teleport to [Map]
else
Show message: Beat the bloody boss!!


Or if you turn the switch off when you beat the boss change the 'on' to 'off'
