Annie! Heh, I don't know anyone else who even heard of her up by me. Philistines.

Did I post this yet? Been in me head for several days now.

I have only ever heard this version of that song, I had no idea it was a cover.

Many artists have covered the song, actually. One of them was Anna Nalick, and that blew me away. I had no idea she knew gothy music nor did I anticipate how she could make it her own. Check it out.

That was a good cover, very embracing of the Indian element. I really only listened to Siouxie's first album, I had no idea they had a pretty radical pop change.

Ooooh yeah. Totally lost the punk after... oh, when was that... 87? 88? Earlier? They did still have some goth in them, and that was more comfortable.

Ms. Nalick's arrangement takes the chord down a step in the second measure of the verse, something I like and find myself wishing was there when I listen to Siouxsie. It's just an awesome song and out of the three versions I've listened to, none of them are bad.

EDIT: It must have been 83.
EDIT 2: I remember now! 91!

I'm not a metalhead, nor do I really listen to any metal, but for some reason this song has stuck with me. I remember seeing the music video years and years ago and realizing that this was a female singer was weird, seems rare for the genre.

Moss.

I still remember the somewhat controversial decision to make her the replacement for the old lead singer.

I still think she is completely out of place in their first music video since enlisting her (this one).  But apparently that all blew over.

Oh man, Arch Enemy. I can get behind this.

This one's my favourite.

Pardon me while I go incite rebellion against everything and destroy indiscriminately.

I went back and listened to the oldest Siouxsie record, and remembered how pretty dang good it is.

I've been looping this like 200000 times a day because ugh just good. I feel like a 17 year old girl for liking it but it's smart and different pop music. :I

Well, I'm not sure how many will understand the lyrics, because it is german, but I really love that song so much.

I was wondering how long it would take that song to get really metal

That didn't suck. I'm surprised. Pillows, not Siouxsie... Siouxsie is always good.

I found this on the UTube and... well, It's awful. But it has an odd appeal.

I want to like it, I really do. I dunno, though... it's like Goth Pop. It's weird, but it's so remarkable I thought I'd share.

Man, whatever happened to her? She was a big deal back when people were still using MySpace.
