i know i'm like years late to RMRK's TMV party, but this shit is godly.

it's like a blistering hard rock druggy interpretation of Chunga's Revenge.

Moss.

I actually never liked Meccamputechture or anything after it except Bedlam in Goliath, which was damn solid. But everything after that was kind of ... meh. And  Meccamputechture had a few gems, but it was mostly just ... noodling, and boring. It's too bad they went out the way they did.

Francis the Mute and Deloused are truly amazing albums, and will forever hold a special place in my musical heart.

Do you know of any bands with a similar style?

Frances is my favorite. L'Via and Cassandra Gemini blew my mind the first time I heard them and it's the album that got me into TMV.

After that, I'd rate their albums quality by chronology. Deloused is very good; I like Amputecture a lot and Viscera Eyes is one of my favorite songs of theirs; Bedlam's first four tracks are goddamn tight and the rest of the album isn't too shabby either; Cotopaxi is pretty good; Jewel of the Malkin is decent...It is a shame how they ended. They are a supremely talented bunch of musicians. I don't disagree about noodling on Amputecture, though.

Moss.

Oh yeah, I knew about the Pilows. I actually used to have like 5 of their albums.

......but that was back in 2003. I'm talking about new stuff.

edit: Oh shit, the Pillows are still going.

That stuff's okay, but it's not AKFG or Za Pillows level for me, though.

I mean, listen to this:
http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/ASIAN-KUNG-FU-GENERATION---Blue-Train/677ff8fa104f43325cca7ad23d34cc56
Those rhythmic shifts...
...that bass line, not always playing the root note.

The other stuff you posted is just kind ... meh. It's not bad, but it's just kind of generic to my ears.

Those dudes are pretty dope.
I just posted the 4 whole Japanese musical acts I know that are half decent.

[yt]UjpOhR_Q9xw[/yt] Cept I totally forgot these dudes were from glorious nippon

Moss.

Weird time signatures and rhythms? Check. Odd chord progressions? Check. Blatant artsyness? Check.

Yep. Love it.

That what awesome. And that video is weird. And awesome.

That last video, Sword, is really great. I think I might work to them for the rest of the night.

This one keeps popping up in mine, and I also like it.

One more, now that I remembered it. They're from San Diego but they're Japanese immigrants and this song/video is weird enough to qualify.
