Led Zeppelin - Black Mountain Side
[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0OYZm4RhFE[/yt]

I very much love Led Zeppelin, especially this piece. I always appreciate when music like this appears. I don't think I've posted much if not at all, classical pieces like Ludwig van Beethoven (Symphony No.5 anyone? Or maybe Für Elise? :3), but that genre of music is my most favorite of them all. So I think that's why I love this song so much,  because it reminds me of my favorite music (Plus, Led Zeppelin has a song inspired by Lord of the Rings, which is awesome xD).

I've actually have heard Led Zeppelin all my life. Along with Ozzy, Pink Floyd and many others (and even dance music lol). But Led Zeppelin has been my favorite so far xD

I'd give this song a 10/10! Very good!

Holst is really good as well. What's your favourite of The Planets?
Jupiter's always been my favorite. I don't like Holst much either though.
And I've written two symphonies, good sir.

Holkeye

I like all of the Planets, but of Pictures, I love The Old Castle and Bydlo. The way that Bydlo is written totally calls to mind a giant, ox-driven caravan passing by.

Also, listen to Danse Macabre, and then listen to the Ghost Train song from Final Fantasy VII. Inspiration much?

Für Elise(Elise) By Ludwig Van Beethoven
[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mVW8tgGY_w[/yt]

Unfortunately, there aren't any high quality versions of this song by him and not others, or I would have posted it :(

Either way, its still a very beautiful song. Pianos are my favorite instruments in the world. I love emotion the piano can give. I could sit and listen forever and ever baroque, classical, and romantic music. This song is among my favorites, but I'd have to say my favorite of Beethoven's masterpieces, would be Moonlight Sonata" (1st Movement).

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this song if you gave the video a chance. If not, there's always next time! :3

2 symphonies at your age... Well done, for this era at least. I've only made the one. ;9
Then again I'm not that much of a full orchestra composer. For some reason, I can't write very well for brass. I have written several clarinet pieces though, the sound just appeals to me.
EDIT: [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l45DAuXYSIs[/yt]
My favourite of his 41 symphonies, listen to his almost seamless modulations and change in instrumentation. The sequences cleverly collide with his famous theme to form a masterpiece among others. One of his least simplistic pieces, imo.

Think of brass as bass, at least that's what I do. How old are you?

Ludwig van Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata
[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbwJarFL1c8[/yt]

This song makes me tear up so much.  :'( It has to be my favorite piece of his...I even think its his best. Very beautiful, slow, emotional. It invokes a lot of emotion and I like that from a song. I could just play this song on repeat all day and never grow tired of it xD

Beethoven has, to me, made the world's most beautiful music. Definitely the best in my eyes. His pieces makes me hurry to purchase a piano, something I've wanted since I was just 5 years old. I hope its not too late for me to learn to play... :(

Anyways: 10/10

Absolutely perfect!  :'( :'(

@ Doctor Sword: I'm recently 15. People at my school are already on to their 5th an onwards. But they are quite rushed, imo. I'm currently writing a clarinet sonata, then I want to play it. :P
@ MagitekElite: I love the Moonlight Sonata, but I think it's a bit overused. It is an absolutely beautiful piece. Personally, my favourite Beethoven piece is the 3rd Symphony in E flat. It illustrates his descent into depression as a result of his impending deafening. It's a sad piece, that's for sure.

EDIT: Thanks for the tip, Doctor Sword.

Beethoven - 6th Symphony (Pastoral Symphony)
[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMJPZ-mu-Ts[/yt]

I love this one. It makes me think I've attended an Opera or something back in the 1800s.  ^-^

I think this one is among my favorites...maybe I should sit down one day and go through them all and organize them into favorites? I suppose it wouldn't matter if I didn't, I listen to them all regardless of a list lol

If you guys haven't given the 6th Symphony a shot, you should try it now. I promise its good!

I haven't heard Moonlight Sonata lately. Has it appeared in movies lately? Or is it commonly picked to cover? :>

I love the 3rd Symphony! I can't put a finger on it, but it reminds me of something I use to watch as a kid...
I can't seem to find one in E Flat on Youtube (of decent quality xD). Do you happen to have a link?

I'm curious, what do you think about the 2nd Symphony?  :)

For the Eroica (3rd symphony) score, go here. For a YouTube video, go here for movement 1 (I find it to very regal and grand at first) and here for movement 2 (The 'funeral march', in C minor. I love the expression.)
Hope this helps!
As for the Moonlight Sonata, I can't really recall any recent times where I've heard it in the media, but I certainly remember some soup advert or something that used it. There's a beautiful story about the sonata; Ludwig was in love with his pupil.

Beethoven- 2nd symphony
[YT]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVOJ48hpgNw[/YT]

I know it sounds odd, but I really like how dark and sad this song sounds. It makes me think of a sadistic person, or me driving like a crazy person toward a cliff overlooking water xD

Another good piece from Beethoven :)

Thanks Welfare-Daddy, added to my playlist! :3

In love with his pupil? Is there a place I could read about it? :D

Wiki it. It's a little more complicated, but that's basically the gist of it. I've never heard the second symphony, I'm more of an odd-numbered symphony man. That's why when I write a second, I have to immediately write a third. :P

That title is misleading. It's not rap. It's electro jazz.

...You just called Handel classical. Even Beethoven is often considered Romantic. Just because the music is from over a century ago, doesn't mean it's classical.

Relax.

Many people refer to baroque, classical, and romantic as one era, the classical era. It's confusing, misleading, and irritating for musicologists, but it's not that big of a deal. Hell, I'm just happy when people know don't lump in modern and contemporary with their "classical" music.

Even I consider baroque, classical, and romantic as simply "classical," and I'm working on my master's in music. They're all based on the same western traditions of music theory. There's just, you know ... subgenres ... that most people tend to overlook.
