I was creating my first maps with rpg makerxp in the town i was making i created like four identical houses using the same tile. I wanted to know why when I was playtesting I could literally walk through one of the house when I know I shouldnt have been able to even though the other three were just fine also when I was building an inside I could go right through most of the walls.

If someone could help me with this it would be apreciated because this is probably going to decide if I use XP or 2003

Post your game file maybe? It's clearly a passability issue. Are these tilesets you imported? If not, there is a possibility you placed tiles which are passable on a higher layer, which might make it possible to walk on. If you post your gamefile i will get a better idea of what is going on.

I have only imported a world map tileset the one i was using came with the program and and i understand the passability options like i was saying the same tiles would block me on one house and the the next would let me walk right through i will upload my game soon for someone to look at it and make sure im not doing anything wrong but im at work at the mmoment and its not with me.

Ok I think I may have fixed my issue but I was wondering why it works now and It didnt before. In the town like I said in my previous post i remade the house and it didn't let me  pass but in one spot so I put in a couple of trees and now there is no issue in town. Inside the house I remade my upstairs and put the walls on layer 2 instead of one and now they bloack my character i havent changed the first level of the house and I walk right over the walls like they are part of the floor. I was just wondering why this is happening.

I'm guessing you have passable (transparent) squares on a higher layer. I could be wrong. I wouldn't know for sure unless I saw the file. Run over the walls on 2nd and 3rd layer with the Upper Left Square in the tileset (blank, right next to the autotiles), and report back if that fixes the problem.

wah
There is no specific level you should put walls on. Just put everything that can be put on first layer on there (meaning no white stuff) and stuff that has white around it on the second layer, and details on second/third layer.
