CronoMarleandLucca

First I just wanted to say that ive been looking at almost all of the rpg maker forum sites and this is the one that I lke the best.

That being said I say hello to all fellow rpg makers novice and expert alike.

Many years ago i used rpgmaker95 to make a couple of very short and very basic games just for my own. Fortunatley I no longer have those and there is only one person that I know who remembers them.

I've spent the past couple of weeks playing around with both rpgmaker2003 and xp to learn how easy they are and to find out which one im going to use. I like them both for different reasons. As soon as I choose one, and Im leaning toward XP, Im going to start making my first real attempt at a game. I've picked up on the very basics enough to get me started but theres still a lot for me to learn.
I'am very excited to have found a great community that I can come to with any questions or problems regarding my game development projects.

So again in short Hello All
I just started planning my first game.

FireBallZero

Hi me new to, just started today but haven't been serious about actually making games but have planned heaps out. I not very good with RMXP at the moment so don't get pissed if I ask some noobish questions. ;)

P.S. Same thing happens to me except with other people NIghtWolf, your not alone. :D

King Anesis

I give you, the Diablo Post.

I am someone who posts humongous welcome posts. To start off with things, you'd be wise to read this, so you don't get in trouble for doing something you had no idea about.

Also a thing to be aware of. It had dimmed down lately, but you'd be best prepared for everything. Don't be offended if a number of people flame you, it basically means nothing. Why they're allowed to is beyond my understanding.

Don't be offended by fumanchuu and others not being afraid to hide their sexuality, they just like a place to say it seemingly. Use the search button to find answers to questions that you might have. Who knows, it Might have been asked already. That helps avoid people from flaming you or dumbing you down.

Follow the rules..and don't join the flaming crew. If people say something, that relates to an incident that might HAVE happened in the past on this forum, you might be like "what are they talking about." Suggest you get briefed about "Important stuff" so as you don't repeat something people hate.

Now, a recent issue that has come up is that if you happen to get into a fight with another member, try to not let it get too out of hand. (Ya, it's the internet, but you wouldn't believe all those that have had this problem).

What a long post. Welcome to the forums, follow that, and no one should bother you. Except those that have nothing better to do then that, but just ignore them.

I own the welcome forum.

Welcome. Seeing that you are leaning toward XP right now, I'd probably double recommend it; mainly because it's the dominant choice around and it's also easier to get help with. :)

CronoMarleandLucca

Yeah i'm actually now almost 100% sure that im going with xp now.

XP is my choice, because you can do almost anything with scripts for it.

2K3 is okay, the battle system is alot cooler than in XP, aside form that, XP is better, but you can find a script to get a battle system like 2K3.

Zoidburg!

Is PK version good? I only used it like once....

Winged

I personally have the comment: "I like PK because it has a larger script screen. However, the J error bugs a few people"
