I'll start.

I just beat the first Armored Core with a 100% success rate.

Eat it.

Well, it's probably like 92%, since I was using save states, but OH WELL.

Here's the core I used. Player name was Artemis, core is named Omega.

The only Armored Core I have played is Armored Core: Last Raven for PS2. My Core was awesome, but I suck at that game.

It's no wonder, the controls were fucked RIGHT up in Last Raven. Boosters were slow as hell, you had to worry about all that reload time bullshit, things got heavier and generators got hotter/weaker...It was pretty much a mess. Not as bad as Nexus, but a mess.

DEFINITELY play this game (the original Armored Core) and Armored Core 3. They offer the absolute best experience by far. You can download Armored Core, Armored Core 2, and Armored Core: Master of Arena (only one I haven't played is two, and I loved the others) from the SNESorama forums, free of charge.

I AGREE. I AM FUCKING PISSED THAT THE GAME WILL COST ME $650+ IF I WANT TO PLAY IT. I think it's the last one in the series, too... ;___; I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO ALLIANCE DAMNIT.

EDIT: Go to the factions section of that site, and examine them all. Which do you prefer, based on the looks from the screenshots and the summary of each?

Also: If anyone has never played and just wants to putz around in the game with lots of power from the start, I'll copy my save. You can get any level, any part, and you have about 100,000 something EC, wtih a 100% success rate.

Anyway, its a good game, with extremely customizable robots.

The one player is 100X better then the multiplayer
