Need help

I was wondering how i would remove all the party members but one?
I cleared them and when i test a battle i have to attack 4 times when only one character is really there the other 3 times i attack all hit zeros and i was wondering if somehow i could remove the other 3 so they dont attack anymore and only the one main character attacks
