Valcos, I'm a little confused by what you meant. If you mean that some one will eventually see space end, then that kind of won't happen since space just keeps going. Remember, the idea behind inertia is that something keeps going untill something stops it. Well there's nothing stopping or slowing down the expansion the big bang caused. So since nothing is stopping it, it'll keep spreading.

Valcos

Well I meant that "if" there is an end to space or there are other worlds out there with other living things on it. If they find a way to get to those places, we (as in the people of our generations) will be dead because I dont think technology will be that advance in the next 50 years. (but I dont believe reaching the end of the universe is possible it just a what if statement)

But, like I said before I think it keeps getting bigger and expanding. Like SexualBubblegumX.(another what if) But what if the "bigbang" ran out of energy or something and just stopped? ???

SexualBubblegumX

Actually, is it even possible for it to run out of energy?

Valcos

I am not sure? Like when it happened there had to be a source of its energy or w.e you call it that makes it make space or w/e. But what happened before the "bigbang"??

There is an end to space, ARRRRRGGGHHH!!! Read a few books before you post!  :kill:

Valcos

Well, I dont read books so I wouldnt know ;D Also if you know could you explain it to me please?

I would like you to show me some of these books and also how can they prove that space ends you could also say that pi ends but they so far have not proven that either.

Holkeye

You can tell space ends because radio waves bounce off of the end of it and are reflected back to earth. Space is still expanding though. And as far as the books go, look up a school book for a start.

Elegy

So lets say for argument's sake that I'm standing at the end of space, whats after that?

Nothing. There is nothing after that, but space is constantly expanding. You would never be able to get to it, and if you did, it wouldn't be still. Also, the universe is infinite, yet redundant, because it is on a slight curve. Its kind of hard to picture.

Elegy

Then it can't really end, the matter in space might be limited, but space which is the nothingness, has to be infinite.
No matter how far you go, there will always be more of the void. (I am aware of how contradictory that sounds)

Holkeye

Space is not nothingness. Space is space. Nothingness is nothingness. I see this is hard for you to understand.

Elegy

The definition of space is "an empty area"
The definition of empty is "holding or containing nothing"

Space is nothing.

albert einstein proved methematically that infinity and space are common, as well as time, so if time doesn't end, neither does infinity nor space.
