Torrent Vs Direct Download

Many or some of you know that you could get alot of useful files from Direct Download Sites that host files using Megaupload or Rapidshared, but there's a limit.  Also torrent files are another method to get appz, games, etc.

Which do you think is better.

Torrent. If you share enough, your download speed can get up to astronomous numbers. I've had 200kB/s yesterday. Also it's possible to interrupt the download. Of course it has also disadvantages like you can't download fast if not many people have it.
