Did you here about the guy in L.A. that the police department layout was almost exact and so what he did was he took the guards gun and keys and did the same exact thing as the game in GTA. He ended up shooting like 5 people

"But then I realized, why stop things from exploding, when in fact it is in exploding that things reach their perfect form. Of course, they only reach it for a few glorious seconds, but during that short time there is no object in the universe more beautiful." -Kite Rockswell, the Mad-Mad Bomber, from The Final War, my very own novel project.  PM me if you would like to read.

I heard from somewhere that humans can become, in a way addicted, to the colours of TV/Screens etc. or the emissions given out by them. The apparant reason why people stay glued to screens or playing games is because these emissions replace a daily requirement in our bodies. It was shown that males require more of this than females.

Regarding lunatics that are apparantly 'affected by a game/movie,' it is weak will power, and those individuals must have already been mentally retarded in some way before playing or seeing a game/movie.

So I am going to go a play a lovely gory game now...Fear? I like blood...how about Prince of Persia. These will give me great ideas!!! mwahhaha!  :tpg:

Now that's one thing I would say was bad. You supply people with information like THAT, and there's obviously gonna be at least one dude that does something like that. DON'T GIVE PEOPLE THAT KIND OF INFO!

This TIME I AGREE WITH LINK.

If i play pacman, i'm not going around eating cotton, the guy was mentally challenged.
And you never said that he played gta, he only acted like gta. There are criminals roaming round the street, ( just they dont shoot) just cuz he shot doesnt make him a gta type criminal.

You can't blame videogames for the actions of men, if a person can't control themself, then they shouldn't be allowed around other people.
The opposite of intelligence is not stupidity, it's patriotism.

Videogames cannot be the cause of violence like you have said but the sense of joyment can be and addictive quality like gambaling it is that sensation

Holkeye

People will always find something to blame for the bad things they have done, if it will give them either freedom from imprisonment/prosecution, or freedom from conscience.

I have heard that there was this lady that was trying to get a wii for her grandsons. She entered a contest were it was who could not go to the bathroom the longest while drinking water. She ended up dying by water intoxication and as far as I know her family did not get the wii.

Arrow

That's because of misinformation on the radio stations part.

Problem: What you have just made is an attempt to bring a shocking story that mentions videogames SOMEWHERE inside itself to defame videogames as a whole.

Solution: Stop it. I HATE THAT SHIT.

Moss.

Kinda like how people see an episode of Sailor Moon and conclude that all anime ever sucks? Yeah, that stuff bothers me, too. :\

truth, but what does that have to do with the effects? she just loves her kids enough to go and try and win it for them.
Watch out for: HaloOfTheSun

Holkeye

The Wii story is true, but as was said, I don't think that fits the topic. That's like saying that some girl got raped on the way to Gamestop.

cobragamer

sorry guys I did not mean that too start a debate I just thpught that was an interesting article. my bad

Just be cognizant of the way people will interpret you posting certain things. The context of the post made us interpret it that way. If you had posted it somewhere else, would have been different.

Morris Lawry

A kid who played world of warcraft, who was a japaneese by the way jumped from a cliff with boots that look like boots from the game, Goblin rocket boots as i recall .And he fell to his death with the blood and guts, He smashed his head first so they couldn't identifie the body until the parents were called in. Apparently blizzard was sued and surely enough blizzzard won.
Good Bye. RMRK you were cool while I wasn't there.

shadowdude

the only death related to WoW that i heard of was someone who played for 7 days straight and hit lvl 60 and was doing a raid, told he group he was going to lie down and died of some brain problem. My personal opinion on that one is, what a twat.

Nightwolf

If you play a game continuously for 7 days( a week for you dumb ppl) then obviously you;re gonna get a brain storke, and 99% die.

But ppl who do such things are commonly known as idiots.

I'm sure there was another death that GTA was blamed for some kid shot the other with a BB gun in the eye and killed him, another managed to get his dads shotgun and shot the other in the face.

I AND ELEGY ACTUALLY AGREE TO THE SAME POINT  :o
Arlen is hot.

Holkeye

They should make a videogame about dying trying to imitate videogames. It would be like a digital Darwin Awards.

Nightwolf

Its pointless to make a game where you just die, jsut click the play button and do some human stuff, like cook, and die @_@

Instead, there should be advertisements
