Is rpg maker dying

To me it seems, like it's dying slowly and steady.  Only a new rpg maker for pc would bring the trend back. What are your opinions.

I don't think new is necessarily better, and I don't think it's dying either... People just don't have the time anymore, I know I just use it to waste some of my free time. New graphics will help make a new short term fad, not much else.

True. Better graphics will only have the consequence that more crappy games come out. The same happened with RMXP. There is as good as no bad and finished game made in RM2k3, while RMXP has only a few good games. =/

I don't think it's dead. But I would like to see another RPG Maker for the pc with more features and maybe 24 bit graphics O_O

Lol, RMXP supports 32bit graphics. xD (24 bit for color + 8 bit alpha channel aka transparency)

heh u guys should try making campaigns on Neverwinter Nights modules.  Not nearly as customizable as rpg maker but u get the graphics u seem to crave xp
