A battle system.

Hey guys, well, I need something interesting to replace a battle system, or a interesting battle system, I don't really want an ABS, and I wouldn't mind a puzzle type battle.

I'm jsut a bit thoughtless on what I should have instead, anyone have any ideas?

Well, I just need something to REPLACE the combat system, becuase I find it so boring and cliché. I can't think of anythnig to replace it though.

Then why not help him get started with his ideas? Like, tell him what types of battle systems there are so he can pick one of them?

A whack-a-mole battle system. Monsters pop out from holes and you have to whack them fast with a hammer, or they bite you.
