The suave CEO of Stark Enterprises, Tony Stark, is a high-tech genious and billionaire--making the world's most imaginative weapons defense systems. But when a powerful competitor attempts to kill him, and almost succeeds, he must build a modern-day suit of armor to stay alive. Building even more agile and powerful versions of the awesome suit, Tony uses his power to fight crime as the Invincible Iron Man! The Mandarin has been named as the villain for this movie.

AND WE SHALL HOPE TOGETHER. I googled robert downey jr. and got a photo...it looked like he was in a criminal line-up. Just the same, it seemed like he fit the part...

Heh, that's funny. How can someone not know who Iron Man is? Anyways, I'll have to disagree with you, Iron Man is NOT the coolest comic book character, nor is it the best comic book. There are some better comic book characters out there. I'm not saying he is bad or anything, I just think the Punisher is a way better comic book character, also it was a great movie.

As for Robert Downey jr. that name sounds familiar, and it's also very similar to my uncle's name. His name is Robert Downing. ;D

You know what's funny? I think Iron Man is the coolest, and I haven't read a single comic book in my life.

Well, I read a sonic comic when I was like eight, but I don't even remember what happened.

Oh, and three jughead/archie comics.

Lol, I have read many comic books over my life time, but I don't own many, nor do I read them often. I've read some here and there.

You may have seen the commercials, but there is going to be an animated feature before the actual movie, probably to build up hype. I think it's been released, but I am not sure.

The commercials, that is. doesnt look very good, as half of it is blatantly CG (im talking about the animated one)
