how to make character actually move in battle

Yes it's possible. And without scripts. (I've devised a way to do it in my game.)
It's pretty easy, but I've never played Ragnarork and are not totally sure what you mean. Do you mean fighting on the map like in the old Zelda games, or just the battlers moving?

You almost make it sound like your the first person ever to do it...

It would be a better idea to do it with events because to many scripts can 'cause a lag. Although if you have some knowledge in scripting, using a script would be eaiser.

I said that because I wasn't sure what xxvvitachivvxx meant. I've devised a way to make the battlers and characters become animated without scripts using the default RMXP battle system. (That is what I meant.)

Anyway, there is a script here that does what you want with no lag.

careful, alot of them are crap with too high exp, look for 1/1/1 or worse case 3/3/3, anything more will suck ^^

now, abs is sort of hard to make it takes alot of energy, it's easy as you can make delays and so on and only melee battle or something but seriously it takes tons of energy.

however there are now scripts for it too, search www.rmxp.net (the laggiest site eva), i think the one near_fantastica(something like that) made is quite good , that is if you can actually understand it.
