Hi everyone,
The game I'm working on at the moment is a survival/horror style game called Eternal Cries. I currently haven't got anything started to show as I need sprites, (Which I made a request for in resources) more music, (Need still, chilling music and more chaser songs) and of course tile sets. But this is what my game will be about, trying not to give away much detail.
Eternal Cries
It's December 24th, 2010, London, England
A girl, three of her friends and a father are enjoying Christmas Eve together. They decide to go outside for a snowball fight. After a long session, and without knowing how long they were outside, they go home due to an on coming storm. It's an unnaturally fierce blizzard. The children go to bed scared, but excited for the day that follows, the father stays up to tighten everything down, and soon he follows.
During the night, everyone wakes up due to howling gale outside. A mysterious mist lowers over the house and all fall into a deep slumber.
When they wake up, there is no snow, no wind, and no house. Everyone wakes up in a different room, and must escape and find each other to work their way back home, which will take them on a trip over Europe...

Please give me your thoughts and any resources you may think of good quality for a game of this genre please PM me.
Thankyou. ;)

Fear my evil random text! MUHAHAHAHA!!! *cough*
Sounds like an OK game to me but still can'treally do any judging untill I've seen screenshots.

if your looking for 'chilling' music try the Clocktower audio in this link http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/view.php?id=489978&sub=19622
the Clocktoer music would be ideal for a really eiery kinda area to add suspence, the music makes you think somethings going to jump out at you.

You might find some good 'chase' music there too.
piss me off and I WILL eat your face! you can count on it!

Thanks. If people send or make charater sets and I find suitable tilesets I'll post a screenshot. I still need to get a menu and fear guage etc on screen too! So I'm stuck until I get reaources. Thanks again.

I'm back again. Again.
Sounds good, and in response to party numbers, for this kind of game, I would have one playable character.

This was one of my ideas, to have them all together at the beginning, at Christmas time, and they all get taken away to different countries. They then must have to find their way back to each other and then work together to destroy the evil.

The 'Fear Gauge' is meter that runs under the character's face image on the screen. If something frightens them, the meter will increase a bit, if the enemy for that area confronts you, the meter will rise greatly. I was also thinking that if I had multiple characters in it, I should have it that if a character is in a very creepy place and is alone, their fear will increase at a steady rate. As the meter fills, it will become harder for the character to walk properly, they will stagger and if the meter fills completely, the character has a Panic Attack, which loses your control of the character. If an enemy attacks a character during this stage, the character will die of shock.. :o
