in event forum is a value change

here I'll open up my 2003 so I can walk you through it.

1. Click on value operations
2. click on the value you wish to select ( [0100: Potions held] )
3. click on the bottom where it says "item"
4. select which item you wish to look at.
5. it should auto select the one next it as "number held."
6. if you want a message to say how many you have simply go
message: "you have \V[0100] potions.

that should cover it under the event way.

can you go on aim? my name is hero5th on there, I might beable to help you quickly.

1. I didn't try it. was busy with my own demos.
2. If you want to have a varible show its value you need to do  \ first then V then its number.
From the help in rpg maker 2000 (but works for 2003 also)
Quote
\V[n]   ·Shows variables number value. (n is the number of the variable)
