Hello, there. I've been poking around here for a while, so I decided to post an old project of mine.

XRPG is an RPG maker, built around the user. I've been gathering ideas from users all over the net, and I'm trying to compile all the ideas into one big editor.

XRPG got its start on Ultima Island last year, early in May (www.uirpg.com) and since then has gone through two total re-writes, a graphics overhaul, and 2 different styles of map editor. Currently, XRPG features a small demonstration editor. I'm currently doing an overhaul on XMAP, the map editor, as well as adding skills and extra goodies, such as switches and variables.

The current User Interface is mostly command-line, but it's getting a GUI update by next release (v0.6). I have decided not to release v0.5, due to lack of updates.

Anyways, the development is based off of ideas, so I need lots of feedback to make newer versions. Love it? Hate it? Let me know on the forum.

So this is an RPG Maker? Not a game made in RPG Maker? If that's the case, New Projects probably isn't the forum you're looking for. I'll move it to the other game creation section I guess 


Is it far along?

It's fairly far along. It goes off of submitted ideas and I build it around the user, so I get stuck after every version, looking for support, because no one understands the method but I'm in the process of a total re-write, and a new map editor, so hopefully I can get that done for XRPG v0.6... I haven't released v0.5 because I don't have much of an update there. It's explained more in the forums.

well, its definitly new... the forum has 24 posts by 7 members! wow!
i might have a better look later. if there were screenies, that would be nice but ill try it later.
