To beat Starfyre with this badass high quality 24" semi-professional isp monitor even though I should probably save up for a new mobo and cpu.
$569.99
Paint a fence: $300
Set up a website for someone: $250-$300
Do chores: $???
I have a plan, bitch, and this time you're going to LOSE.
If you do get $300 from the fence and around $250 from the website, you have $550.
Thats like, 20 less than you need.
That would be easy..also, it will be even easier if you get $300 for the website
$300 for a fence lol ;-;
Also, methinks my monitor is very similar to this one
What monitor do you use now?

So you're getting a new monitor because Starfyre got a bigger one than yours?
Grow up
I'm going out on a limb here to say that he's probably getting one because he wants one. I'm just guessing though.

irock, one minor detail. you can't make web sites ;p
MY SCREEN IS MUCH BIGGER THAN YOOUUUUUUUURS~
The monitor I linked (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236033) is almost $300 cheaper (you don't want to get the ultra cheapest, it will be utter shit), has all the connections (VGA / DVI / HDMI), has a built in USB hub and even has a webcam on it so you can pretend you're on an imac.
That HP monitor has 400CD/m2 brightness, this one has 450. They both have the same contrast ratio. The HP one is 6ms grey to grey and 12ms for a full opposite shift, the ASUS simply says 2ms, but even if it's the easiest g2g, 2ms is good.
Idiot.
Good tier: Dell / Viewsonic / Samsung
Ok tier: Acer / ASUS / LG / HP / Hanns G
Shit tier: The rest
And you don't need a IPS panel, a TN one will do you fine.

I want a new monitor. I need more workspace, a good picture, no dead pixels, and a monitor I don't need to prop up with a dining mat. I've been wanting one since late 2007.

The extra 50CD/m2 really doesn't matter that much, I can see my 300CD/m2 fine. I'm fine with my current response time, a couple ms increase won't do any harm. TN's usually have faster response times, so this was expected.

But I'm looking to get more into web design and video editing, and IPS panels have better color, picture, and viewing angle. A higher viewing angle is important, especially since it's a pretty big monitor, and I tend to sit close to mine.
i use a 19 inch monitor for web design just fine ;p

Size has nothing to do with web design, and I have a 19 inch. I'm looking for more workspace. :|
lol as if you need it for anything but web design or programming.
what
Irock is getting this monitor because Jon (yeah, Jon from Stencyl) told him to get it.
the only reason you need a large monitor is for visual work or programming work

I don't know why I even try anymore
You take everything too seriously. ;]
I'm going to take a shower because Irock took one and I want to be cleaner than Irock. Not because I like to be hygienic or anything, but because Irock takes showers and I have to be better than Irock.
I took a 45 minute shower, you're going to have to get your ass in gear if you're willing to be better than me.
Irock would never make a good lawyer.
