lol. if that's real, then unlike stencyl they have a team that works ;p

Honestly if anything Enterbrian saw the hype of stencyl, then decided heck we can do it faster.

Anyone know if it will come out in English?

Also, I might move this topic to Other Programs.

I wonder how many of these things they can pull out of their ass.

at least nine.

But really, its business. Now if RPG Maker VX came out with these built in as 'what kind of game would you like to make' option that would be an amazing added bonus.

I don't know why Stencyl was mentioned in this thread, lol. Enterbrain likes making their programs worse and more limited (Vx lol). Enterbrain likes to make their programs limited to the kind of games they want you to make.

# Platformer (side-scrolling) games are possible. Can be done in Stencyl lol.
# Shmups (shoot-em-ups/shooters) are possidle. Can be done in Stencyl lol.
# Action RPGs (like Zelda) are possible. Can be done in Stencyl lol.
# Finished games can be ported to Xbox Live. That's sort of neat. =o
# Completed games can be exported as Flash (embeddable for websites). Stencyl games can be embedded. e3e
# Supports hi-definition on the Xbox 360. Not sure if there's a max resolution for Stencyl games. e3e
# It seems as though the engine supports scoring systems. So does Stencyl.
# It seems as though the engine supports HUDs. So does Stencyl.
# Game resolution seems flexible. So is Stencyl's
# Movement appears to be pixel-based. Movement can be whatever the hell you want it to be in Stencyl.
From the site it says its even compatible for Vista and XBOX360 ;-; Stencyl is compatible with Windows, OSX, and Linux, including the games and the program.
At least this one has a release date unlike Stencyl. :x Stencyl is scheduled to release this year in English.
lol. if that's real, then unlike stencyl they have a team that works ;p Jon is coding Stencyl all the time, and Stencyl is being alpha tested as we speak. e3e;;
Honestly if anything Enterbrian saw the hype of stencyl, then decided heck we can do it faster. They're doing something entirely different. Unlike Action Game Maker, Stencyl isn't limited to a couple genres. It's limited to whatever you're able to create using little snippets of code. Or you could just use the pre-made engines, bro.
scripting? y/n There's scripting in Stencyl~~~~`~`

rawr rawr, stencyl wins. it doesn't exist though ;v

My non-existant program called Flencyl can do all that and give you a hand job at the same time.

Stencyl is too good to be true and it uses java so I'm pretty doubtful

Could you really see Jon convincing the alpha testers that joined the forums in anticipation of Stencyl that it's really all a big fake? For what purpose? It's all non-profit. Instead of actually programming something (Which he can do, see Slickset (http://slickset.stencyl.com/index.php)) that can become really popular, he just gives us good ideas that he doesn't plan to take advantage of and gives us fake progress reports and a fake beta time frame, right? ;v There's totally a reason to do that, right. ;v He'll probably come out at the end of the year and say "lolol stencyl never really existed so go home" right ;v

Also, outdated Stencyl video and screenshot for the win.

Kind of stupid to claim Stencyl can do things when it isn't made yet, if ever at all.

EDIT: There's no scripting in Stencyl.

Stencyl can't do anything right now, because it doesn't exist.
