Title: Missing Tiles from Chipset [Resolved]
Post by: CrashAriMP5N2O on January 02, 2008, 09:45:12 PM
Using RM3k2

I just noticed that some tiles are missing in the editor. I know that the standard chipset is 480x256 px saved as a PNG-8 file. However in the editor some of them are not showing. Here's a screencap.

Using RMXP

Now I also tried rearranging the 480x256 px chips to fit in with the 256x???? px chipset for the XP. However the chips come out "smaller" compared to the sets that came with XP. They seem to be exactly 1/4 the size. Can this be resolved if I resize the 2k3 sets to 4 times (and with rearrangements) to fit in with the XP standards?

On that note is it possible to transfer and reconfigure (if applicable) graphic sets (chips, charsets, etc.) from 3k2 to XP?

To answer your first question, no tiles are ACTUALLY missing, see what happened is, they get folded in, because the tiles at the top, are supertiles and will incorporate all the graphics visible when opened with paint, seemingly there are tiles missing but none actually are, when you use that super tile they automatically merge with the same tile next to it.... it makes alot of crap way easier.

I don't use XP so I don't know how to convert them.

So if they're not missing you can use them correct? How can I use these "hidden" tiles?

They are super tiles, just use the small tile that looks like the tiles that are missing and then like stretch em and they should merge together.

Pardon me but I'm not sure I follow what you mean by stretching. Is this done on the editor itself? Can you clarify the steps that I have to do?

That's much clearer. Thanks. Looks like I don't jave to switch to RMXP so easily. I'll have to re-getused to it again.

I'm glad I helped.
