If he's mature enough to handle the fact of being a parent at a young age then that's fine. As long as he doesn't leave his GF now. He, as the father, now has to support the mother and child for legal/moral reasons.

Because it is possible to accidentally have children, idiot. Even having unprotected sex doesn't mean that nine months later you're going to be a parent.
In the opposite case, having protected sex doesn't mean that nine months later you're not going to be a parent. I think... Or just for some cases. Anyways, from HotS, watch Scrubs and you'll find out why people might have unprotected sex and not get pregnant. :P
The good news is he is being very mature and handling this well enough.
I think by the time the baby is born he'll be ready.
