Title: [RESOLVED] Door Problem
Post by: Aurora on April 08, 2007, 04:01:48 AM
I made a map of the inside of a ship and i want a prison door that i can make open, i tried an event with the prison door as the pic but when i test it i can walk through the sides( walls beside the door part of the pic)

any suggestions?

I'm not exactly sure if this will answer, but try putting the prison bars in the spots next to the event.

Post a picture of the problematic error and we'd probably be able to help a little better.

You have to put something solid around where you can pass. When you make an event only one block will be solid.

Try putting the bar part of the tileset in the place you can walk through.

Here's the pic, ive tried putting events in the place of the passable spots but it wont work...well unless i messed something up..and thats one of the problems, the bar thing isnt in the tileset lol

Well, what I would suggest is one of two things. Either edit the tileset to include prison bars, or set the passability of one of the blank (transparent) squares in that tileset to impassable, and put that on both sides of the door.

Yeah i have the same problem :o

But i think i have a solver for it :D

As you maybe have seen almost all tilesets have a couple of empty spaces in them that arent used fo a wall/tree/canister or something So you go to the database make 1 of them from an
O to an X and you make a new event next to it and give it the graphic you just made an X
and nothing else thats it.
That's how i fixed it

EDIT: GODDAMNIT I WOULD AHVE BEATEN YOU IF MY INTERNET NOT WENT OUT CRAPPY INTERNET
