caterpiller / paper mario style question?

been awhile since i posted here well i'm wondering like in the game paper mario and the thousand year door how do u make it so only 1 of ur teamate folo's u and u can switch them out any time and only go into battle with that 1 teamate and be able to switch it out during battle

could u be able to make only 1 teamate folo u with the caterpiller script because i beeen trying and could not gte it to work

I think the easy party switcher is what you also want. But it's in trash.
